The Sun

The sun is the solar system’s “campfire”, the central, organizing hub that all the other planets revolve around. The sun itself has no defining personality attributes, ie, it has no characteristics of its own, instead it acts like a lens, focusing and filtering planetary and house properties into personality traits. For this reason, it plays a vital roll in our expression of “self” but also for our hidden, deeper nature, the soul. The ego helps us to draw boundaries between ourselves and the outside world and the sun, along with Mars, plays a crucial role in building self-esteem and inner security. Where we come into being and how we manage our situation in “real life”is demonstrated by the sun’s location. It symbolizes our history, the legacy of the father (both the emotional heritage and genetic) but also how we appear as individuals. We are challenged to become as much as we can as a human-beings, to reach our greatest potential.

The sun’s influence in the birth horoscope is absolutely critical for some parts of our personality, it is the life giver and holds the largest promise for our success, this is obvious.
